2022 SEAS

Welcome to the 2022 virtual Student Environmental Action Showcase! See some of the great Student Environmental Action Projects taking place across our region, students’ extraordinary Environmental Action Through Art works, and the Virtual Activities shared by SEAS eco-partner organizations.

NoVA Outside’s Student Environmental Action Showcase (SEAS) is a regional event welcoming students from Alexandria, Arlington, Fairfax City/County, Falls Church, Prince William, and beyond. This year SEAS will again be a virtual event, and we are hopeful that next year we can return to an in-person format.

GUIDELINES for this year’s Environmental Action Through Art exhibition are posted, and the submission form can be found HERE. (if you have difficulty using the form, please email your submission to showcase@novaoutside.org).

How to Participate

School-age youth can participate in various ways:

• Environmental Action Through Art (all grades) – Share your artwork with the goal of inspiring community change to improve the environment. Guidelines/details to be posted soon!

• Virtual SEAS activities (all grades) – the SEAS website and social media will highlight student art/projects and share partner videos that can help students hone their environmental skills.

• Caring for Our Watersheds (grades 5-12) – Earth Force hosts this competition that asks students what they can do to improve their watershed. All teams are invited to participate in SEAS. The top 10 finalist teams will present their proposals.

Volunteers and Sponsors for the event are appreciated. Please contact showcase@novaoutside.org if interested.
